About Us
Most Sorrowful Mother Counseling (MSMC) established itself in 2025 to address the gap in training and applying spiritually-integrated counseling within psychology. MSMC bases its counseling approach on a return to the classic philosophical understanding of the human person and their intellect, as Saint Thomas Aquinas—renowned Dominican and Doctor of the Church—masterfully articulated. We integrate a Thomistic philosophical and psychological framework with contemporary, evidence-based psychological interventions throughout the counseling process.
Under the patronage of Our Most Sorrowful Mother and Saint Thomas Aquinas, MSMC actively bridges this gap by offering a truly spiritually-integrated Catholic counseling and coaching approach to individuals worldwide who seek mental and spiritual health and well-being.

Behind the Name and the Ministry
We named Most Sorrowful Mother Counseling in honor of Our Lady under the title Our Lady of Sorrows, and we lovingly consecrate our ministry to Her care. Each day, our team entrusts our work—and all those we serve—to Her powerful intercession, asking Her to guide and bless every aspect of our ministry.
Through Her faithful endurance of the Seven Sorrows—the sufferings that give Her title and inspire our ministry—Our Lady earned the title Mother of All Consolation. Standing beneath the Cross at Her Son’s crucifixion, She united intimately with His suffering and merited the grace to comfort and console all who suffer.

Mental Health Professional Interested in Learning Thomistic Psychology?
We are currently seeking Catholic counselors and therapists who are interested in joining a cohort focused on learning and applying Thomistic psychology in their clinical practice. This program will include didactic training in Thomistic psychological principles, individualized case consultations from a Thomistic perspective, and the opportunity to engage in peer discussion within a professional cohort. Participation is limited to licensed mental health professionals or those with equivalent professional training.
